PAINTING CHURCHES
PAINTING CHURCHES

In this wonderful comic drama, Margaret is a painter whose star is on the rise in the New York art world. She returns to Boston to help her flaky, hat-sporting mother and renowned poet father move out of their home on one condition – they allow her to finally paint their picture. As the boxes are packed, old memories are re-awakened and long-buried emotions are laid bare, until Margaret discovers that her parents are not who she thought them to be. What emerges is a family portrait (literally and figuratively) that is both heartwarming and heartbreaking in this touching story of futures lost when a brilliant mind slowly slips away.

“A radiant, loving and zestfully humorous play....”
—The San Francisco Chronicle
