2007-2008 Theatre Education Classes at The Human Race

Whether you have dreams of Broadway and Hollywood or simply want to have fun expressing yourself, The Human Race’s Theatre Education Program has something for everyone. Performing arts can be a lifelong passion, so The Human Race has developed a curriculum to nurture that enthusiasm from childhood through adulthood. Classes include the popular Adventures in Theatre Saturday series for children ages 6 thru 8 and 9 thru 12, After School Acting Classes for 8 thru 13 year olds, the year-long Teen Conservatory Program for ages 13 thru 18 and weekday evening Professional Actor’s Training Workshops for adults. In the summer, we have theatre programs for kids and teens. All through the year, we have private acting/vocal coaching sessions available from our experienced instructors.

Classes are taught by theatre professionals – people who make their living doing what they love and who seek to share their knowledge and experience.

Class Location
Classes take place in the Caryl D. Philips Creativity Center of The Human Race, located at 116 N. Jefferson Street in downtown Dayton, between First and Second Streets.

Scholarships
Thanks to the generous support of National City, a limited number of scholarships for children in need of financial assistance are available. To request a scholarship application, please contact Marilyn Klaben, Education Director, at (937) 461-3823, ext. 3132.
