While it is our love of theatre that compels us to create the beauty and excitement of live drama, it is your love of theatre that sustains us in our efforts.

As our mission states and our name suggests, The Human Race Theatre Company presents “universal themes that explore the human condition and startle us all into a renewed awareness of ourselves.” It is a mission that we take very seriously in our pursuit of meaning, insight and beauty…and it is our commitment to you. But there can be no theatre without the support of the community. We need you…as our audience, our sounding board, our critic, our cheerleader and as our major source of funding.

The Human Race has served the Dayton community for 19 years as a professional Equity, not-for-profit theatre company. While ticket sales and sponsorships generate a large portion of our funding, they do not cover it all. A gap remains that can only be filled by our loyal members.

We hope you’ll agree there are few organizations that offer such a high level of excellent professional entertainment and educational programming at such a reasonable cost. But to keep ticket prices and class tuition within the means of most – something we feel compelled to do – we must also rely on those who can give more to generously do so. We urge you to make your tax-deductible contribution today to assure that quality live theatre, and theatre arts education, remain vital forces in our community and in our lives.
