Starts rehearsals September 13, 2004. Performances October 14-31, 2004 Young Dorothy Gael - on stage should play realistically as a 9 year-old girl. A sweet orphan child sent to live with her Aunt & Uncle in Kansas. Her parents were actors on the stage - they died of diptheria. Vocally - a solid, medium-sized voice. "A" below middle "C" to "E-flat" an octave above middle "C". More like "Mary Lennox" in THE SECRET GARDEN and less like "Annie." Prepare two songs and a one-minute monologue.

Co-produced by Dayton Philharmonic and The Human Race Theatre Company Presented at The Mead Theatre at the Schuster Center for the Performing Arts. Starts rehearsals around February 1, 2005. Performances February 24, 25, 26. (Some daytime rehearsals possible during the week of February 21) Sacha - son of imprisoned political dissident. Frightened but belligerent, this character requires a serious young actor playing 12-14 years old, preferably 5'5" or shorter. Sings sparsely with orchestra and a capella. Audition scenes and music to be sung a capella at
