FROM BROADWAY AND LONDON TO DAYTON –
TORY ROSS COMING BACK HOME FOR
THE HUMAN RACE THEATRE’S
ORDINARY DAYS

Tory RossDAYTON, OH - Tory Ross has had a busy career since graduating from the Miami Valley School and the University of Cincinnati’s College Conservatory of Music – Cry-Baby and 9 to 5 The Musical (with fellow MVS alumna Allison Janney) on Broadway, Silence! The Musical in London, both the national tour and movie of The Producers, and more. Now she’s bringing her talent back home, to join three talented Human Race Theatre Company Resident Artists in Ordinary Days, coming to The Loft Theatre June 10-27.

The other members of the cast for the new musical from award-winning composer Adam Gwon are Scott Hunt, himself a Broadway veteran of Rent and Les Miserables and recently in Human Race productions of Big River and Snapshots: A Musical Scrapbook; Jamie Cordes, most recently with The Human Race in Man of La Mancha and Wait Until Dark and head of Wright State’s Musical Theatre/Acting Preparatory Program; and Katie Pees, whose HRTC appearances include Five Course Love, Big River and Seussical the Musical and who teaches at Alter High School.

Human Race Executive Director Kevin Moore will direct Ordinary Days. Resident Artist Sean Michael Flowers will be the Musical Director.

Ordinary Days is the story of four young New Yorkers whose lives intertwine, either purposely or unwittingly, in extraordinary ways. New York’s Roundabout Theatre Company picked it last fall to be the first musical to be presented in Roundabout’s new black box theatre.

The New York Times said Ordinary Days “captures with stinging clarity that uneasy moment in youth when doubts begin to cloud hopes for a future of unlimited possibility.” More information about the show is available at www.humanracetheatre.org.

Tickets for The Human Race’s production are available through Ticket Center Stage, (937) 228-3630 or toll-free (888) 228-3630, or www.ticketcenterstage.com.
