THE HUMAN RACE THEATRE COMPANY’S
TEEN ACTING CONSERVATORY
PERFORMS “BROADWAY BOOT CAMP” SHOWCASE ON MAY 17
(Dayton, OH) – May 5, 2006 – The Human Race Theatre Company’s 2005-2006 Teen Acting Conservatory will perform its showcase Broadway Boot Camp at 7:00 p.m. on May 17 in The Loft Theatre. The performance is open to the general public of all ages and admission is free. Broadway Boot Camp is a collection of monologues and hit songs from Broadway musicals performed by the Conservatory students: Charlie Haley, Jessica Hicks, Joel Nitsch, Dylan Aughe, Mary Kate O’Neill, Tilia Gonzalez, Lydia Bianchi, Jake Basnett and Christopher Poeschl.
The Teen Acting Conservatory is a year long intensive program that provides the opportunity for dedicated young performers ages 13 – 18 to develop into disciplined, confident and mature actors. Lead by Conservatory Director Katie Pees, with guest instructors from The Human Race Theatre, DCDC, Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music and New York-based artists, these nine students have met weekly since last September to enhance their natural acting abilities and expand their knowledge through training in a variety of theatrical areas.
The Loft Theatre is located at 126 North Main Street, downtown Dayton.
