Extends Seussical Through December 23
(Dayton, OH) – November 17, 2005 – In response to strong advance sales of its family-friendly holiday production of the musical Seussical, The Human Race has extended the run of the show through December 23, adding five performances. Seussical was originally scheduled to close on Sunday, December 18.
The additional performances will be:

Tickets for the additional performances will go on sale on Monday, November 21 at Ticket Center Stage.
The Tuesday, December 20 performance is Clothes That Work “Accessories Night.” Each adult will receive a $5 discount off the price of their general admission ticket when they bring a “clothing accessory” donation to that Tuesday night performance. Clothes That Work is a local organization that assists women, men and older teens entering or re-entering the workforce by providing interview and work appropriate clothing as well as guidance on grooming and workplace image skills to make a positive impression. Clothes That Work describes “accessories” as:
For women – Gold and silver necklaces (chains or simple styles), pearl necklaces and earrings, gold and silver earrings (small style), gold and silver pins for suits, purses (neutral colors such as black and brown), small pattern scarves, new pantyhose, conservative pumps and flats, umbrellas
For men – Conservative ties, black and brown leather belts, dress socks, umbrellas
Tickets for Seussical are $29 for general admission, $27 for senior citizens, $14.50 for students and children*, and $12 for Muse Machine Students with membership ID. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Tickets for the December 1 – 18 performances are on sale now via Ticket Center Stage, with box office locations at the Victoria Theatre and Schuster Center in downtown Dayton. Ticket Center Stage hours are Monday – Friday, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Saturday, noon – 4 p.m. The Loft Theatre box office opens two hours prior to each performance. Founded in 1986, The Human Race Theatre Company moved to the Metropolitan Arts Center in 1991, taking up residence at The Loft, a 219-seat theatre. In addition to the Humana Loft Series 1, produced in collaboration with the Victoria Theatre Association, The Human Race produces the Humana Loft Series 2, the Musical Theatre Workshop series and special event programming. “Oh, the thinks you can think when you think about Seuss!” Welcome to a place where anything’s possible – an elephant in a tree, people too tiny to see, a heroic child and dreams running wild – as Dr. Seuss’s most beloved characters come to life in this whimsical, musical delight for children and adults alike. When chaos erupts in the Jungle of Nool, it will take the Cat in the Hat, Horton the Elephant, the Whos of Whoville, Gertrude McFuzz and the whole Seuss gang to bring harmony back to their world. There’s fun and adventure for every kid at heart!
