About the Project
The theatre is an amazing place where audiences are transported to a new world and introduced to characters and situations that stretch the bounds of their imaginations. This summer, The Human Race Theatre Company invites young actors to come together for two weeks to stretch THEIR imaginations and produce a unique theatrical experience for Dayton audiences at the Dayton Metro Library’s downtown campus. Under the direction of local director and actor, Jake Lockwood, these young artists will produce every aspect of a one-act stage production of an original play written especially for the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 trip to the Moon – RIPPLES.
With hands-on approach, the students will work with Jake and other local artists to craft and design every aspect of the show, then ultimately perform the piece for the public in the Library’s Eichelberger Forum.
